Kärcher spotlights the incredible work of UK cleaning teams with its annual Thank Your Cleaner Day campaign

  • Whether leaving a thank you note, or simply saying ‘thank you,’ it’s time to show your gratitude for UK cleaning teams
  • In celebration of Thank Your Cleaner Day, Kärcher Professional will also be offering a site-wide discount of 10%

Kärcher is thrilled to once again be showing its support for hard-working cleaning staff across the UK as part of this year’s Thank Your Cleaner Day campaign, which is taking place on Wednesday October 16th.

The initiative, which was first introduced in 2015, is now recognised in over 50 countries worldwide and focuses on bringing companies and individuals together to highlight the incredible contributions of cleaners. Everyone from clients to office workers who rely on contract cleaning services are encouraged to show appreciation for their cleaning staff, who often work outside regular office hours. Gestures of gratitude can include leaving thank-you notes, offering small gifts, or simply making a point of saying ‘thank you.’

In a world increasingly focused on health and safety, cleaning staff contribute directly to our well-being by reducing the spread of illness and infection. As Ethan Miller, Head of Sales – Facilities Management and Hospitality at Kärcher UK, puts it, “A clean environment not only ensures safety but also enhances comfort, productivity, and morale in both professional and public spaces.”

Despite their critical role, cleaners often work behind the scenes, unnoticed and unappreciated. Unsung heroes, they work tirelessly during off-hours, maintaining spaces we rely on every day. Whether in offices, schools, healthcare facilities, or public buildings, the work of cleaners is vital to maintaining these spaces and creating an atmosphere where people can thrive. The Thank Your Cleaner Day initiative is a step towards changing that narrative, making sure these professionals are celebrated for the work they do.

“People don’t usually set out to become cleaners,” Ethan explains, “But they enter the field and realise just how vital their work is. We want to change this, encouraging people to actively pursue careers in cleaning, which will help to maintain and even elevate industry standards.”

In celebration of Thank Your Cleaner Day, Kärcher Professional will also be offering a site-wide discount of 10% from the 16th-24th October, encouraging their customers to provide cleaners with the best possible tools for their work.

On-site at Kärcher headquarters, the team will be personally thanking their cleaners with cards, flowers and vouchers – all in a bid to express their gratitude for their hard work.

There are many ways to get involved and join in the appreciation for the UK’s cleaning professionals this Thank Your Cleaner Day. Find out more here: https://www.thankyourcleanerday.com/en/uk
