Building and Facilities News is pleased to present Greenbrook Electrical as its highly regarded Electrical Manufacturing Company of the Month.
The business was first established in 1952 as Besson & Robinson (B&R) to produce electro-mechanical relays, but its ever-increasing product range led to it rebranding as Greenbrook Electrical in 1955. Its offices and warehouse are all based in Essex, principally operating in the electrical installation sector to customers throughout the UK.
This well-established company has a strong portfolio of innovative electrical accessories supplying the market via electrical wholesalers and builders merchants. Jill Richmond, Marketing Manager at Greenbrook Electrical, explained: “Wholesalers don’t want to go through dozens of suppliers to get everything they need; one who does everything is far more useful. As an SME we can offer flexible terms that satisfy the needs of our customers for example, offering preferential terms for those who want to hold stock. We do not, however, insist our customers hold large stock profiles of our products. As long as the carriage paid figure is achieved we are happy to ship smaller quantities on an overnight delivery service for those who do not have much storage space.”
Greenbrook Electrical is the leading manufacturer of four distinguished brands of electrical products. PowerBreaker RCDs, the esteemed name in electrical protection, and a range of cable management products, conduit and ancillary products branded Norslo. A selection of timers & thermostats, door chimes, lighting and ventilation products are available from KingSheild, and its newest brand, ToolShield, provides VDE tested hand tools, ladders, hole cutters and the full SuperRod range.
“The company’s introduction to ToolShield is our most recent development,” Jill commented. “Moving into this highly competitive field was quite a risk but our range of tools has been very successful in the market. Our ladders have proven to be particularly popular; our policy on supplying small volumes has been very well received with those restricted for space!”
Greenbrook Electrical recently appeared at the National Merchant Buying Society Ltd Show (NMBS) in Coventry. Attendance at the exhibition proved most advantageous for the company as its selection of electrical products prompted much interest at the event.
Jill said the company are continuously focusing on developing its range: “We are always striving for excellence and have team dedicated to new product introduction and design. We have recently designed and launched an even safer 10mA Residual Current Device that has been specified for schools and hospitals as the most suitable safety product.”
