Building and Facilities News is proud to announce that JSP has received our Product Innovation award, for its outstanding range of PPE innovations offering the highest levels of health and safety performance.
JSP’s new premium range of high-performance EVOguard® Industrial Helmet Visors offer ‘A rated’ high energy impact protection (190m/s) when fitted to JSP’s Evolution® range of Safety Helmets. The visors will also provide a useful covering to the face against coughs and sneezes and prevent workers from touching their eyes and face to help work safely during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Designed with a host of features by the JSP in house Research and Development team, this range of high-performance visors are very easy to fit, and provide maximum comfort and protection with simple, effortless maintenance. Offering a panoramic Optical Class 1 view, the EVOguard® range of Helmet Visors, models C1, C2, C4 and C5, will also filter harmful UV radiation to protect the eyes while also offering high light transmission and enhanced colour recognition.
The EVOguard® C1 and C2 visors provide comprehensive facial coverage with a visor length of 185mm, and the C4 MAX and C5 MAX options offer enhanced coverage of 215mm visor length with integral chin guard protection. All the EVOguard® Industrial Helmet Visors are fully compatible with JSP half masks, disposable respirators, prescription glasses and the Sonis® helmet mounted ear defender range. For Electric Arc Protection, you can choose the EVOguard® C5 MAX which meets the requirements of GS-ET-29, providing eye and face protection against a risk of a fault arc: GS-ET-29 Class 1, 4kA (155KJ/m² or 3.7cal/cm²).

JSP’s EVO®VISTA® Safety Helmets integrate fully retractable Optical Class 1 protective eyewear. The EVO®VISTAshield® incorporates a faceshield, and the EVO®VISTAlens® incorporates an overspec. Furthermore, fully adjustable pivot arms allow the shield and lens to be deployed outwards and over prescription spectacles, unlike similar systems that require helmet adjustment to fit. This helps to tackle any compatibility issues or lost eyewear on site.
In addition, the EVO®VISTA®Dualswitch™ Safety Helmets are the first helmets to incorporate eye protection in the form of a shield and lens (as above) and provide protection performance to both EN397 and EN12492 on one certificate. Flicking the switch changes the retention strength of the helmet’s fully adjustable 4-point chinstrap to give conformity to either the Construction Helmet EN397 standard or the Climbing Helmet EN12492 standard for working at height.
All of JSP’s PPE can be made to measure. Its safety helmets, hearing products and eyewear can be customised according to individual specifications, using corporate logos and colour schemes, safety messages, personal names and identity systems. JSP also operates a BSI Kitemark scheme for products, which is the platinum standard for product quality. This guarantees that products are from a batch that has been controlled and tested to ensure it passes the relevant standard.
Manufacturing under ISO9001 Quality Management System, the JSP brand is synonymous with Tested, Trusted and Traceable products. The JSPCHECK™ SYSTEM also adds validation as a unique manufacturing barcode to give customers complete product traceability, by pinpointing the exact location, time and date of manufacture to the second.
